About The Position

As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will use teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach to help create a welcoming environment while responding to site needs with agility and reliability.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, student and visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations, with working conditions that may vary by assignment.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive activity by monitoring entrances, observing campus activity, and reporting unusual behavior or conditions.
  • Support school personnel, students, visitors, and/or staff with access control, directional assistance, and documentation of incidents, observations, and daily activities.
