Requirements
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
- Be able to restrain individuals.
- Possess at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, providing directions and assistance while maintaining a professional presence.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
