As a Screener at a government location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and communicating clearly with staff and guests. You will help identify and report security-related concerns, provide outstanding customer service, and support daily operations with professionalism. Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen individuals and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures, escalating prohibited items or concerns according to site policy.
  • Verify access credentials and direct visitors to appropriate entry points, reception areas, or authorized personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and promptly notify appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
