As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Area Monitor in Honolulu, HI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, and/or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including sales floors, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to identify unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, support orderly operations, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or hazard concerns to the appropriate contact.
• Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and employee activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and assisting with security-related procedures related to store policies and closing routines.
