As an Unarmed Security Officer at a residential location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to residents and visitors while using computer or tablet technology as needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, building exteriors, parking areas, and property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitors, deliveries, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
