About The Position
Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a college in Boston, MA. This role involves serving and safeguarding clients in educational environments. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will have the flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will engage with students, staff, and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and event attendees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, performance venues, entrances, and surrounding perimeter areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Monitor access points and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with maintaining an orderly campus environment by providing directions, supporting event operations, and documenting incidents accurately.
