About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in Boston, Massachusetts. The role involves maintaining a visible security presence, helping deter incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Officers provide customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The pay rate is $23.00 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers by following site-specific security procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, customer concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, ATM areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity according to site-specific access-control procedures.
Complete accurate reports and communicate security observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
