As a Security Officer Driver Screening in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support site access procedures. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in job state. You will remain visible, conduct routine activity throughout assigned areas, and deliver professional customer service while embodying Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Candidates must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and other security-related issues.
  • Support security-related operations in a chemical and petrochemical environment by following post orders, reporting observed hazards or policy violations, and maintaining accurate activity records.
