As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Walking Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, lobbies, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, badge activity, and/or visitor traffic at the location, assisting with signin processes and verifying authorization in accordance with site policies.
• Support security-related operations at a dynamic tech-focused location by observing building activity, reporting maintenance or policy concerns, and following Allied Universal protocols.
