As a Security Officer Full Time in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting site operations. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, authorizations, visitor registrations, and contractor credentials in accordance with site policies.
• Maintain accurate access-control records, visitor logs, key or credential issuance documentation, and incident reports.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
