Security Officer Patrol Operational Awareness
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol security officer at a financial institution location in Newark, New Jersey. The officer will help safeguard employees and visitors by conducting routine and random patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access and visitor activity, and providing customer service and communication. The role supports a welcoming and secure environment while representing Allied Universal’s culture of teamwork and integrity. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, and pays $18.00 per hour. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Applicable licensing requirements may apply before employment.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
- Promptly communicate observations and concerns to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and appropriate response personnel.
