Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial lumber location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, lumber storage areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document entries and departures in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
• Observe and report hazards, damaged fencing, unsecured doors, suspicious activity, and other security-related concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
