Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess 5 years of industrial security-related experience or 2 years of military, law enforcement, EMT, or fire department service.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a utility operations location.
  • Monitor alarms, communications systems, and/or incoming reports from a dispatch post, documenting activity and relaying information to appropriate personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents, service calls, and/or critical situations by coordinating communication, gathering relevant details, and supporting timely site response actions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Prepare accurate logs, incident reports, and/or dispatch records, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and public agencies as needed.
