Performs routine security duties in providing a safe environment for the entire Loras College Community and its visitors, as well as maintaining the security of all College facilities. The work schedule is 3-11pm, with nights and weekends as required. Given that the College is a diocesan Catholic college, the individual will carry out their functions of their position in support of the College's Catholic Identity, mission, and in support of Church teachings. The role involves patrolling campus, questioning suspicious individuals, reporting duties, carrying communication units and flashlights, watching for hazards, issuing traffic/parking citations, escorting individuals, assisting emergency services, working special events, and providing break relief for staff at the information desk. Security functions are conducted in accordance with established College policies, procedures, and related legal requirements. The position also requires supporting the mission and vision of the College and respecting the College's Catholic tradition.
