As a Security Officer Access Gate Attendant in Cheyney, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to buildings, offices, residence areas, and/or campus facilities.
  • Respond to incidents, policy violations, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with campus staff, visitors, and/or local responders as needed.
  • Document visitor activity, access-related incidents, and/or unusual conditions in required logs and reports, following Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned buildings and perimeter areas to observe conditions, report concerns, and support security-related operations.
