Security Officer FT
About The Position
Seeking a Security Officer for a full-time position (40 hours weekly) at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN. The role involves enforcing hospital regulations and maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees. This is achieved through active monitoring, patrolling of hospital property, and timely reporting of safety hazards and unusual occurrences. The Security Officer will also investigate complaints, potential criminal conduct, assist in restraining patients as necessary, and provide protective services under the general direction of the Security Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year minimum experience in military, security, law enforcement, healthcare, customer service and/or International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record.
- BLS certification from approved BLS course required, will provide training.
Nice To Haves
- International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) certification preferred.
Responsibilities
