As a Security Officer - Full Time in Cherry Valley, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, yard, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help to control entry and exit activity for personnel, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site policies.
• Support daily operations by observing trailer, freight, and vehicle movement, reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations, and completing required reports with accuracy and professionalism.
