As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Monitoring in Newell, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, help to deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, processing areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material-related notifications, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site emergency procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
