As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Events in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and access-control needs, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual conditions or concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
