About The Position

The Security Officer will be responsible for following prescribed Standard Operating Procedures for basic and emergency responses. This role involves liaising with security and building management to communicate, escalate, and solve problems. The position includes indoor patrol of buildings, checking for physical damage, water damage, and ensuring bathrooms are secure. Extensive walking (down stairs only) and scanning checkpoints are required. The role also involves stationary watch from the Security Desk, switching off every hour to conduct an extensive foot patrol using phone software and checkpoints. The officer will alternate between the reception post and extensive patrols using many Lighthouse checkpoints. While the primary patrols are indoors, there is a requirement to be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, specifically walking from one building to an adjacent one.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• High school diploma or equivalent
• MD Guard Card

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (not standing outdoors; just walking from building to building next door)
