About The Position

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a recycling and energy location in Newport, Minnesota, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and reporting observations. You will provide courteous customer service and clear communication while supporting site operations. The role is full-time and pays $26.71 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of recycling and energy operations, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access by observing entry and exit activity, verifying credentials as directed, and documenting visitor or contractor arrivals and departures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations calmly, follow site procedures, and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
