As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Processing in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide courteous service to travelers, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an airport location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal public areas, parking facilities, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access to restricted or controlled areas in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials when assigned, and report access-control irregularities.
  • Prepare accurate activity, incident, and observation reports; maintain professional communication with airport personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and the public.
