Requirements

Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes morgue access.
Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to restrain individuals when required in a hospital setting.
Must have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and reporting of security-related concerns.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to designated areas and help to verify that only authorized individuals enter restricted spaces, while documenting observations and/or unusual activity according to site procedures.
Support a professional healthcare environment by communicating clearly with staff and visitors, providing directions when needed, and reporting maintenance, access control, and/or security-related issues.
