As a Security Officer Patrol Response Specialist in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will contribute through teamwork, reliability, and integrity while using an agile approach to support daily operations and a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a government education location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help support authorized access, visitor management, and adherence to location policies and procedures.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, patrol activity, and/or notable conditions, and relay relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
