As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Driver in Buford, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
  • Monitor entry points, gates, and assigned areas to help support authorized access, report unusual activity, and communicate security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, delivery issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying the appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, yard, dock areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Help to support the flow of freight operations by verifying visitor and vehicle information, maintaining accurate logs, and following emergency response activities when appropriate.
