As a Security Officer for Data Center in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location as an unarmed driving patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a people-first culture through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, agile approach to daily security-related responsibilities.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid are preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related issues according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, data-sensitive areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed, and support lobby, gate, or reception operations while following established post orders.
  • Communicate with site contacts, team members, and/or first responders regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters that may affect daily operations.
