About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a commercial real estate location in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will safeguard tenants, visitors, and property representatives by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, helping deter incidents, and supporting access control and badge processes. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and maintaining a welcoming environment.

The officer responds to incidents, alarms, tenant concerns, and critical situations; observes activity and reports unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations; and completes daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs. The listed schedule is 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Pay is $17.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws; a license may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license only if applying for a driving position.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property representatives while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, tenant concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with company and site requirements.
