About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a utility location in La Grange, Kentucky. The officer will safeguard the site by maintaining a visible presence, conducting patrols, monitoring access, reporting observations, and interacting professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures and policies at utility locations.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas; document observations and report irregular conditions.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
Maintain a professional presence to deter unauthorized activity and promptly report hazards, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns.
