As a Security Officer - Experience Needed in Northlake, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail distribution location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter access points.
Monitor entrances, exits, loading and receiving areas, and high-traffic zones to help to deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and/or policy violations.
Support access control, visitor screening, and vehicle or delivery verification processes in accordance with location requirements and Allied Universal standards.
