About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Security Officer who will be responsible for the safety and security of the students, staff, and facilities. The hours are 3:00pm-11:30pm, and the candidate must be available for holidays and weekends. Days off are Tuesday and Wednesday.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent communication/listening skills
• Proficiency in computer software
• Six months of experience in a security or security-related field
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Patrolling assigned areas on campus
• Performing building security and safety checks
• Conducting preliminary investigations (training provided)
• Enforcing the Center rules and regulations
• Assisting staff and students in addressing issues including de-escalation of behavior
• Providing escort services as needed
• Monitoring activities via camera surveillance systems
