As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery activity in accordance with site policies and controlled-area requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain logs for patrol activities, incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related observations.
