As a Security Officer Weekday Mornings in Jersey City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a healthcare location. You will manage access points, verify credentials, assist visitors and staff, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes as applicable, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, building areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify unusual conditions.
  • Report policy violations, unauthorized access attempts, equipment concerns, and other security-related observations according to site procedures.
