About The Position

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment at assigned sites. This role is primarily focused on access control, visitor management, credential verification, and monitoring site activity to ensure compliance with established security procedures. The Security Officer serves as a visible presence at site access points and plays a key role in protecting personnel, contractors, visitors, and property. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees, contractors, visitors, and site leadership. This position requires a proactive approach to site security and a commitment to upholding company standards and client expectations.

Requirements

  • Valid Arizona Guard Card, or the ability to obtain one
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with reporting systems, access control platforms, and electronic logs
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times

Nice To Haves

  • Previous security experience, particularly in construction site security, access control, or gate security
  • Experience working with access control or badging systems
  • Experience managing visitors, vendors, or deliveries
  • Familiarity with large-scale or high-traffic job sites
  • Data center or critical infrastructure experience preferred
  • Customer service or site coordination experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Control and monitor site access points
  • Verify credentials, badges, and identification for employees, contractors, and visitors
  • Enforce badging, visitor, and escort requirements in accordance with site procedures
  • Manage visitor and vendor check-in and check-out processes
  • Monitor and document deliveries and ensure they are properly routed
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, or policy violations
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident documentation, and shift reports
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, site leadership, employees, vendors, and visitors
  • Support emergency response procedures when required
  • Maintain a professional presence and demeanor at all times
