Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor lobby and reception area activity, greet incoming guests, and help to verify identification, visitor sign-in, and/or access requests in accordance with location guidelines.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and communicate with site contacts regarding deliveries, appointments, badges, and/or other front desk needs in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details through appropriate site reporting processes.
  • Support security-related operations at a technology-focused location by observing entry points, maintaining awareness of lobby activity, and helping to address concerns related to access control and visitor management.
