About The Position

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a part-time Security Officer to join our team at Gate City Casino in Nashua, New Hampshire. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to be licensed by State Gaming Commission
Ability to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations when handling guest issues or complaints
Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
Must be 21 years of age or older
Clear a criminal background check
Strong verbal communication, observation and report writing skills (must be able to document incidents via the use of a computer)
Administer medical assistance to guests and employees once certified in CPR/First-Aid/AED/BBP by the employee

Nice To Haves

Prior law enforcement, security or military experience preferred
Hospitality/customer service experience a plus

Responsibilities

Ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance to the gaming floor
Conduct cash escorts as required
Observe, handle, and report procedural violations and illegal activity
Operate a motorized vehicle when necessary
Maintain crowd control as required
Defuse guest profanity and handle issues or complaints professionally
Ensure the safety and security of guests, employees and company assets of the property
Patrol all areas of the property
Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized behavior, and safety hazards
Assist guests/employees during emergencies, evacuations and/or medical incidents
Respond to calls for service, accidents, violations of NH and/or Federal Law and gaming laws, rules and regulations in a calm and professional manner
De-escalate conflicts using verbal and non-verbal techniques
Complete accurate, complete and detailed incident reports, security logs and daily activity reports
Secure evidence when needed and coordinate with local law enforcement
