As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Enhanced Part Time in Tallahassee, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes the morgue.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor and staff screening practices in accordance with location protocols, reporting concerns and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with security-related support during medical emergencies, patient movement situations, and/or other urgent events while maintaining professionalism and following post instructions.
