About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a commercial property area patrol role at a manufacturing and industrial location in Holbrook, New York. The officer will safeguard the site by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting security-related concerns. The role also involves customer service and clear communication while helping maintain a welcoming environment. The position is part time, with the posted schedule of Thursday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM and Friday from 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The pay rate is $19.07 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if the position requires driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures, site policies, and applicable emergency-response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points; identify unusual activity and report observations.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
Observe loading docks, deliveries, and restricted areas, and report potential hazards, policy concerns, and maintenance issues.
