Requirements

• A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
• Required hospital vaccines must be obtained and maintained.
• This position may require working in hospital morgue areas.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a minimum of two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, vendor, and staff entry procedures in accordance with location guidelines and assigned post instructions.
• Support a professional environment by communicating with hospital personnel and/or first responders when needed and documenting security-related observations, incidents, and actions taken.
