About The Position

The Security Officer will assist guests with directions and answer all questions in a friendly and courteous manner. This role investigates all accidents and completes reports. The Security Officer ensures that minors are not in gaming areas and patrons and employees are not in unauthorized areas, while protecting the assets of guests, employees, and the company.

Requirements

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Ability to move quickly in response to emergency situations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
Must be able to deal with volatile situations by verbally defusing them or by physically restraining a violent person.
Must be able to qualify in accordance with company firearm's requirements.
Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain all local, state and federal regulatory permits as required by position.

Nice To Haves

Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Adheres to safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.
Interfaces with applicable departments to ensure customers receive superior guest service.
Identifies and resolves employee and guest concerns.
Interfaces with all applicable law enforcement agencies.
Checks identification of guests to ensure that only those 21 years of age and older are allowed in gaming areas.
Escorts guests and employees when transporting money.
Directs traffic when necessary.
Driving Company vehicles.
Other duties as assigned.
