Security Officer Part Time Licensed Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for licensed patrol work at an assigned site in Middletown, New York. The position provides a dependable fixed weekly schedule, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The designated anchor schedule requires a six-month commitment. Employees may work up to 40 hours per week by taking extra shifts and can scale back when needed. The listed schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.00–$17.00 per hour. The role involves providing customer service and carrying out site-specific security procedures, patrols, access control, documentation, incident response, and hazard reporting at utility facilities and related areas.
Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility facilities, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate access and incident documentation.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
- Observe and report hazards, facility concerns, and security-related policy violations to appropriate personnel.
