As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Lobby in New Orleans, LA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a hotel location.
  • Monitor lobby and front desk activity, assist with access control practices, and report unusual behavior, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations with professionalism, clear communication, and coordination with site contacts and/or local responders when appropriate.
  • Support visitor management by checking identification when required, documenting front desk activity, and helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
