As a Security Officer for Industrial Building in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an unarmed patrol officer in a retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access awareness, respond to alarms as needed, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and observe on-site activity to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or policy violations while reporting concerns according to post instructions.
Support a professional shopping environment by providing directions, answering questions, and addressing security-related concerns from customers and/or employees in a courteous manner.
