As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment by managing entry points, verifying badges and credentials, monitoring access activity, and assisting visitors and tenants. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support security-related operations through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, people-first approach.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Manage access to the commercial property by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining access logs, and directing guests in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry points, access control systems, and security-related cameras, reporting unusual activity, equipment concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalating matters when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building entrances, common areas, parking facilities, and the property perimeter, to help deter unauthorized access.
