Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.
  • Alarm panel systems. This includes knowledge of alarm monitoring, response protocols, and troubleshooting alarm system issues.
  • Proficient in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes familiarity with software applications, email communication, and data entry.
  • Strong customer service skills. This includes experience in handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, food production location policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, and direct authorized individuals to designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Screen incoming and outgoing traffic as assigned, document deliveries and contractor activity, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
