As a Security Officer Full Time in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, assisting visitors, and responding to security-related concerns. Your visible presence, strong communication, and customer service skills will help deter incidents while supporting daily operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, issue temporary access credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or access-control concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Prepare accurate reports and complete required documentation for access-control events, incidents, visitor activity, and observed security-related conditions.
