Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and assigned areas; verify authorized access according to site procedures; and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
Communicate professionally with government personnel, visitors, and first responders while following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related policies.
