Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and assigned areas; verify authorized access according to site procedures; and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with government personnel, visitors, and first responders while following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related policies.
