About The Position

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy Requirements. Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to access control alarms, unauthorized entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Assist with directing visitors, managing deliveries, and communicating professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
