Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working conditions varying by site.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and document entry, exit, and unusual activity in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, hazards, and other security-related observations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and support site operations.
