About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, building access procedures, and reporting suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
