Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen packages and personnel, and support access control processes. This role combines customer service, communication, and attention to detail to help identify security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or belongings in accordance with site policies to help support authorized access and security-related standards.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details through proper site communication channels.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipping-related documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, operational concerns, and/or policy violations within the logistics and distribution environment.
